Rod arrived in the Nova Scotia on a snowy and cold Friday night in February many years ago. After graduating from Loyalist College and a short stint at CJBQ radio in Belleville, Ontario. It was time to hit the road and Nova Scotia has been home ever since.
Rod joined CKEC in 1975, the year that New Glasgow was celebrating it's Centennial and the first ever Johnny Miles Marathon was at the starting line.
He started on the afternoon shift was soon moved to Mornings and he has been getting up before the birds and snow plows for many years.
Rod feels it's important to be positive and helpful on-air.
After living in the Shiretown for many years , Rod and his wife of 30 years moved to Westville. Their one daughter is married and lives in Moncton, New Brunswick. At present, he is trying to figure out Photoshop and get a lawn to grow in the backyard.
