C-F-D-R (Dartmouth) sports director play-by-play announcer for the Nova Scotia Voyageurs, the top minor hockey affiliate of the Montreal Canadians). Also covered university sports, junior hockey, curling, golf and paddling.
C-I-G-O (Port Hawkesbury) news director (also did play-by-play for university and junior hockey). Also was free lancer for C-B-C radio regionally and nationally in both News and sports in the Strait of Canso area, and also wrote feature articles for Chronicle Herald, Scotia Sun and reporter newspapers.

Member of First United Church, Trenton.
Chaired board of Managers, official board, also former member ministry and personnel committee, session and men’s club. Was volunteer of the year for the church in the town of Trenton.
Kevin was also a member of the John Brother Stadium Committee, which was struck to name the New Glasgow Stadium in honor of the late educator and CKEC sports director.
In 1979 Kevin had the honor of doing the very first play-by-play radio broadcast at the newly opened Halifax Metro Centre when the Nova Scotia Voyageurs took on the Hershey Bears in a regularly scheduled American Hockey League game.
Former Chair of Pictou County Safe Grad Committee.
Was recipient of provincial government ministerial commendation award, and special recognition from Westville police service.
Inductee in the builder’s category of the Pictou County Sports Heritage Hall of Fame and master or ceremonies for annual induction reception and luncheon.
First President Pictou schoolboy hockey league, was recipient of Nova Scotia School Athletic Federation award for promotion of school athletics.
President of Old Trenton Fastball league, was named volunteer of the year by Softball Nova Scotia at the Sport Nova Scotia Awards.
Volunteer:
Hockey events including hostess cup, air Canada Atlantic Regional, Air Canada national, world under 17 challenge and events associated with the Pictou County Minor Hockey Association, including the annual bantam memorial tournament opening and closing. Master of ceremonies for both Stanley cup rallies for Pictou County n-h-l-ers Jon Sim and Colin White. Also volunteered for numerous events sponsored by the Stellarton and area Minor Girl’s softball association including national, eastern Canadian and regional championships, and presided over the official opening of the refurbished Albion Ballfield in Stellarton.
Also a high point and a great source of pride was being Master of Ceremonies for a Children’s Wish fundraiser at Pictou Lodge in 2007. Guest of honor was Canadian Sports Icon and former heavyweight Boxing Champion George Chuvalo.
