Don is a native Pictounian, born and raised in Pictou. In 1981 – on a dare – he auditioned for a spot on CRXL (the radio course offered by the Nova Scotia Institute of Technology) and was accepted.
After working in Newfoundland (VOCM), Don took the opportunity to come home to work at CKEC in 1986. Don loves radio & especially audio production. He is the Mid-day host from 10am till 2pm on CKEC. And between 11:00am and 1:00pm, Don features "Lunchtime Rewind," a show dedicated to your very favorite hits from the 50's, 60's, and 70's.
He lives in Pictou & has a camp outside of River John near the beach. In his spare time he likes playing with computers, and reading. Don likes acting & played Oliver in “Oliver Twist” when he was 12. Don belongs to the IOOF & is a Mason. He also thinks he’s a carpenter. He is married to his lovely wife Holly.
Favorite Movie: Apocalypse Now
Favorite Food: EVERYTHING, except over-cooked liver.
If Don were stranded on a deserted island with only a CD player and his 3 favorite CD's, he'd have Led Zepplin IV, Best of Weather Report, and any pre 1979 Bob Seger.
