The Seniors Help Line is available to offer assistance of any kind to senior citizens of the area, Monday to Friday from 10am-3pm. Call 752-8400.

Friday Night Family Flicks fun continues at the New Glasgow Public Library Community Room January 27 at 6:30 pm with, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. The Stellarton Public Library will have a Scavenger Hunt for pirates’ treasure in recognition of Family Literacy Day January 27 at 3:00 pm.

The New Glasgow Public Library Seniors’ Café will take place January 30 at 10:00 am. Guest speaker Judge Clyde MacDonald will share some interesting tales from Pictou County's past

Benefit Dance for Sacha Buell & Joey Marshall will be held Jan 28th at the Pictou Highlander Pub at 8pm. Adm. $5. Live music, 50/50 draw, door prizes, raffle tickets and silent auction.

Registration for Pictou County Athletics (track & field) Run Jump Throw (grade primary-6) registration will be held Jan 30 from 5:00-7:00 and Feb 1, 5:00-7:00 at the GR Saunders school gym in Stellarton.

A Benefit will be held at the Stellarton Legion on January 28th for Cheryl Jenkins who is battling cancer. Dave MacIntosh will be donating his music.

Potluck Supper will be held at First Presbyterian Church Hall, Pictou Jan. 28 from 4 - 6 pm. Adults $8

Chess club of the Antigonish Town and County Public Library meet each Saturday morning from 10:30 am -11:30 am. and are looking for new members.
